The Summit is place to gather in community, (re)connect with and queer rural traditions, build relationships and trust among other rural and small town LGBTQ+ people, celebrate & grieve together, and create a roadmap to move us closer to our collectively liberated and joyful futures.

This August Summit is for rural LGBTQ+ people living in Wabanaki Territory in the State of Maine. Registration is free. 10% of the budget for this gathering will be a donation to Eastern Woodland Rematriation.

Attendees must be 18 years old or older.

Saturday August 12 | 9:30AM-6PM | Monroe, Maine/Penobscot Territory | Lunch and Dinner Provided

COVID-19 info: this gathering will be outside (there will be covering under tents). We will have masks, hand sanitizer, and hand-washing available. People are welcome and encouraged to mask and/or distance. We will be providing tests for people to take when they arrive.

Dogs: As much as we personally love dogs, please leave them at home (or some other safe place!) during this gathering. Service dogs who are needed as support for a disability and are trained to do supportive work or a supportive task (not including ESAs) are allowed! Let us know if you have questions.

Registration is required for this gathering so that we can best meet the needs of the group. Registration closed on July 28. Please reach out if you have missed the registration deadline: grace@weareoutintheopen.org
