Queer Educators Social Group
Green Mountain Crossroads board member, Carly Fox, is organizing an informal social gathering space for queer educators. Carly hopes to hold monthly meetings for queer educators to build community, create friendship, and focus on gender and sexuality as they relate to educational environments. The group aims to:
The first monthly meeting will be Saturday December 9 from 6-8ish. Educators of all backgrounds and school environments are welcome (K-12 public/private school teachers, aids, counselors, administrators, social workers, nurses, coaches, professors, etc.).

- Cultivate an inclusive space for social interaction and peer support
- Organize social events and community gatherings
- Develop, discuss, and share queer and social-justice focused curriculum & pedagogy
- Respond to homophobic, transphobic, sexist, and other forms of bullying, discrimination, harassment, and/or legislation/policy
